    I use this method for my fh but would like a method for the one handed bh. I know wawrinka seems to use racquet out to side a bit, and for a two hand Agassi held racquet out.

      Yes, it is tough on the one and two handed backhand. Players do exactly what you described using the arms away from their body on the take back to help measure the ball on the backhand side. Thanks for bringing that up.
