Is Your Forehand Stuck And Keeping You From Winner More Matches…

Symptoms Of Flawed Forehand Technique

  • Do you have a weak forehand that’s not hurting your opponent?
  • Does your forehand feel tight and forced?
  • Do you feel the only way to keep the ball in play is to slow your swing down?
  • Do you have trouble being consistent when your opponent adds pace to the ball?
  • When you’re moving to a ball does your footwork slow you down and you know something isn’t right?
  • Do you want to get to the next level but know your forehand needs to be more consistent to beat the better players?

Make’s It Nearly Impossible To Improve

It doesn't matter how much time and how hard you practice if you have a forehand flaw.
Until you fix the flaw your forehand improvement is going to be a rocky and frustrating road.
When you fix your forehands flaws, you'll have more effortless power and consistency.

You’ll be able to swing with confidence and acceleration and know that you’re balls going to land inside the court. It’s easy to hit big topspin if you know what to focus on using the right sequence of hitting.

It’s almost impossible for you to get above the 3.5 to 4.0 level if you have these flaws.

What Caused Of The Problem

Before I show you how to unlock your forehand lets first talk about how the problem came about.
When you first started to play tennis did you turn side ways and get the racquet back?

You still might be doing this today?

You didn’t have to do much to win points…
And the ball didn't' have a lot of pace. So using your arm to get the ball in was ok… but as you started to improve you took the same concept with you.

Which is that swinging with the arm is how you hit the ball.

The Arm Isn’t What Should Swinging The Racquet

And this is the start of the problem because the arm isn’t what should swing the racquet.
But as you got better you took the idea and ran with it…until you started to play better players.
Then they hit the ball with more pace and your forehand couldn’t keep up.
So what happened?

You’re Forehand Is Like A Car

Let’s look at a simple way to think about the important part of your forehand.
Think of your forehand stroke like a car for a second.

What would be the 3 most important parts.

The engine, steering and wheels.

The engine would be how you produce the power on your forehand.
The steering would be how you control where the ball goes and the type of spin that you put on it.
The wheels would be how you get to the ball.

So swinging with your arm would be the same as sitting in a car trying to drive without having the engine on.

You’re not going anywhere?

Are You Pulling Double Duty?

The problem is that you're pulling “double duty”. Double duty is where you're using your arm to produce the power and direct the ball. And this creates a lot of tension and muscling in the arm.
This makes it harder to steer because you arm is being overworked.
This causes a lack of consistency and tightness in your forehand swing.

Since your arm isn’t the source of power
Since your arm isn’t the source of power in your forehand swing,
the added tension slows your swing down robbing you of effortless power.

Why Do So Many Recreational Players Have Elbow Braces?

It can also lead to arm injury because you’re overworking you’re arm.
Think about it for a second…
Why do so many recreational players have elbow braces
When you watch the top players in the world you don’t see any elbow braces.
It’s because recreational players focus on using their arm while pro’s use their bodies to swing!

About the author

Hi,

I'm  Kevin Garlington

I’ve taught tennis for over 22 years to high performance juniors, adults and online. The thing that makes me different from other coaches is that I’ve taught at all levels and ages. It’s made me learn how to communicate complex things so anyone can understand regardless of age or level.

I've also learned how to develop players from beginner to high performance players. I want to bring this knowledge to adult tennis.

Why Total Tennis Domination

I started Total Tennis Domination because when I was growing up and wanted to improve my tennis game. It was hard to find the instruction I was looking for.

Coaching vs. Developing

It was very difficult to find coaches that knew how to develop a player vs. coach them. Coaching is where you show up and take a drill or lesson. The coach is rarely thinking about your goals long term. Their's nothing wrong with that if you want to have fun or hit the ball around and that’s it. I had a goal to reach, which was to play college tennis.

Coaches that develop understands the path it takes to reach higher and higher levels of play. It’s about more than a single lesson. It’s about how the lesson fits in with your goals. It's making sure that you know all the steps that you're going to need to focus on to reach your goals.

What TTD is About

TTD is the collection of the lessons learned from developing top level players for over 22 years. Now, I'm focusing on helping adults reach their tennis goals. Forehand Power and consistency is the first step.

Here’s what you’ll get in each module:

Module #1 - Overview

  • In module 1 you’re going to learn the TTD principles for hitting your forehand. You'll have a clear idea what it takes to have a consistent and reliable forehand.
  • I’ll take you through the 3 major parts that make up a great forehand. This will clear up all the misconceptions you've had about hitting. No more wasting time working on the wrong thing.
  • You’ll learn how to use your body to generate racquet head speed. No more arming the ball! Start accelerating your racquet with confidence.
  • In the steering section you’ll learn how to answer the most important question in tennis. This will 10X your consistency by it self.
  • In the wheels section you’re going to learn how to move to the ball quicker. Your footwork plays a huge part to your level of consistency and power you can generate.
  • You’ll also learn the do's and don’ts of practicing and how to get results quicker.

Module #2 - Engine

  • In this module you’re going to learn the exact steps for creating effortless power. instead of your arm. So hitting the ball with acceleration becomes easy and consistent to do.
  • You’ll also learn the footwork stances needed to give you the most options when hitting the ball. You’ll feel like you can hit any shot at any time.
  • You’ll learn why different footwork stances are better in different situations. You'll be able to deal with balls that have pace or no pace.
  • You’re going to get a step by step action plan to shows you how to practice it to get results the fastest.

Module #3 - Steering

  • You’ll learn what’s the proper swing to avoid tension and discomfort so every forehand feel smooth.
  • I’ll show you how to relax your arm so you create more acceleration. You'll be hitting balls with more pace with less effort.
  • You’ll learn how to control the height that you hit the ball so no more balls in the net or long.
  • I’ll show you how to place the ball crosscourt and down the line with accuracy and pace. You'll be able to move the ball around the court with complete confidence.
  • You’ll learn how to hit with topspin so that you can increase your margin. And swing faster without worrying if the ball is going long.
  • You’ll learn what’s the preferred grip for hitting a big forehand. Also how to find your grip without looking down at your racquet so you can focus on the ball more.
  • In this module you’re going to learn how to take the racquet back. You'll minimize the chance of you being late or feeling rushed.

Module #4 - Wheels

  • In this module you’re going to also learn how to defend using your footwork. Make your opponent feel that their attacks aren't working so they go for more.
  • You’re learn how to hit using on the run footwork. When you’re pushed to the corners you can still make the ball even when you’re completely stretched.
  • You’ll learn to recover using crossover footwork so you never leave your opponent open court to run you.

Module #5 - Practice

  • You’re going to learn how to practice by feeding yourself so you don’t need anyone to get better.

What makes this program different...

What makes this program different is it’s focused on breaking your forehand out of the 3.0 to 4.0 trap. The program is focus on showing you how to develop the skills that you’re going to need to win at the next level.

I don't give you a brain dump of information. Forehand power and consistency focuses on the core elements that few explain like I do.

I aim to make everything simple in both the way I talk about it and how I teach it. I strip the lessons down to what you need to know and not overwhelm you.

Your not alone...

Become part of a TTD family. Be around other members that share your same goals of improving. Be supported and learn from other players going through the same program that you are.

I’ll show you how to get instant feedback that’s better then taking a lesson. Most pros(including myself) can’t see whats happening on the other side of the court. You'll always know if you're working on the right thing.

You're going to learn to have a purpose with every practice. This will make improving faster no matter who you're hitting with.

And when you start improving other players are going to want to know what you’re doing.

faq

What’s different about your program?

Forehand power and consistency focuses on using a sequence of teaching for results. If you use the right sequence it will set you up to continue improving for the rest of your life.

Use the wrong sequence and you'll get stuck at a certain level of play.

This program focuses on adults but the process is the same in tennis. Adults and junior a like will get stuck if they have the same sequence of learning.

Is this course for adults or juniors?

This program focuses on adults but the process is the same in tennis. Adults and junior a like will get stuck if they have the same sequence of learning.

How long does it take to get access to the program?

You’ll start to see results within an hour of doing the drills of the Engine module. And once you complete the program you should see and feel a big change in your forehand. Match play results will take longer because you have to train under pressure. And that training is in the program as well.

How much time do I need to go through the program?

You’re going to need at least 1.5 to 2 hours per week to see progress. The awesome part is that you can watch the videos at home. Then do the practice drills on the court, in your back yard or garage.

What if I don’t see any results?

If you don’t see results I’ll completely refund you.(refund take 3-5 business for merchant to process)

How long before I see results?

You’ll start to see results within an hour of doing the drills of the Engine module. And once you complete the program you should see and feel a big change in your forehand. Match play results will take longer because you have to train under pressure. And that training is in the program as well.

If I’m a beginner should I take this program?

Yes, I recommend this program for beginners. It will set your foundation up so that you don't need to fix it later. It will take a little longer to get big results because you having played as much. Building a great foundation will improve your game faster in the long run.

Can you learn tennis from and online program?

Yes... The two biggest components to learning is knowing what to do and getting feedback. I'm going to show you how to get both of those in this program.

p.s.

I know how if feels to have your tennis stuck and in a rut. It's not fun and you shouldn't have to deal with it if you're willing to work on your game.

If you have tennis goals that you haven't accomplished yet. Let me give you the knowledge and steps that you need to get the results that you desire. Let me help you take your forehand and your tennis game to the next level.
